Utrecht’s city center offers a rich array of destinations for you, interior design enthusiasts. You do not often find so many interior design shops within walking distance in the city center. Usually, you must go to the home furnishing mall or district for that. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is also my birthplace! Just lived there till I was 9 years old; I never lived there again but, in my twenties, I studied in Utrecht and now I like to shop there, especially in the center. There is a \u201cWoonboulevard: where a lot of shops are concentrated but this blog is about the center. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To start with the iconic Dom Tower. It has just been restored. The last few years the tower was covered in scaffolding. But now it is back in all its glory, and you can climb the 465 steps to the top. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Dom Tower of Utrecht is the tallest church tower in the Netherlands, at 112.32 meters (about the height of the Statue of Liberty) in height. It is considered the symbol of Utrecht. The tower was part of St. Martin’s Cathedral, also known as the Dom Church, and was built between 1321 and 1382, to a design by Jan van Henegouwen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
This House, designed by Gerrit Rietveld, is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. It is an example of \u201cDe Stijl\u201d architecture. Book in advance if you want to visit the house! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
